Be carefull driving home - there might be a crazy strobist on the street.
I made a quick shot of my parents after having them over to babysit (my boys aren't babys anymore) due to a parents' evening. On their way out I asked them for a quick shot to nuture my blog. "Act like you are hitting a car - I will count to three" after setting the focus with a flashlight (yes, I am Canonian…), setup the light and guessed its strength, 1,2,3 flash, three times, then they wanted to leave. Thank you.

Edi - a grayed alpinist, as he says. I ask him to be my model just in front of my office and after a quick chat he agreed. He turned out to by 90+ years old (my eldest model so far) and on his way to his daughter, who is a pedicurist. He told me, that he has been a member of the Swiss Alpen Clup (SAC) since more the 60 years and liked to meet all kind of people from different backgrounds there.
Seniority hit him suddenly, something broke and now he is not able to walk around two housecorners, after beeing used to run up the highest mountains for decades. Thank you for sharing your time and giving me a small peak into your life, Edi.
And while talking I managed to take 6 pictures, this one beeing showing interest, friedly- and awareness, what I like.

Light: Full sun, cut down with aperture, shutter and ISO, standing in the shade, 430EX with ¼ CTS, 24mm, ETTL trough a white umbrella just left of cam (handheld because of the wind)
Post: Removed Tramwires out of the sky, would like to remove tree behind his head but didn't manage nicely, so I left that.

These new buildings attract my fotografic senses: They make interesting lines an there is something empty and cold about them.
I tried some long term exposure with manual firing flash on the buildings, but liked this best.
This is not a HDR but OOC (out of cam) + Aperture work.

Fall is arriving. We had a day full of rain.
I tried some hispeed syn today - but not fast enough to freeze the rain here. Stil l like the effect of exploding raindrops.

Light: 580EX on camera as master, +3ev (which mighth have made it slower) on camera, 430EX as slave, standing at 2:00 pointing at 8:00, wrapped in a plastik bag

Zopf. This is a Swiss Sunday morning bread, that my sweet wife bakes every second Saturday evening. She bakes two and we freeze one for the inbetween Sundays. It takes 15min to do the dough, 1h to let it rise, another 10min to get it in form (I always get mixed up if I plate it and the dough is tougher, when I do it) and full of eg. Then another 25min in the oven. Bettina bakes a perfect Zopf an I can't compete with her and we all love her for doing so, specially me, but I have an excuse - she is the wife I married :-))) Thank you for treeting us so well.

Michel and Luca - they saved my day at 5 to twelve. Thank you. I was standing at my friday spot, put up my new Apollo 28 softbox with two flashs inside, a little worried, because of the wind and full sun. And then: Nobody there - nobody who inspired me. Then I got nervous. started to do some selfportraiture, to have something, 5min to go to pick up my son from training. Michel and Luca sat down at the bus station - Would you? Yes, but we want to catch the bus. - No problem, I just have five minutes left myself.
Then they stood where I wanted them to stand and I said look in the softbox direction. They: The bus is comming.
I made one shot, one single shot - so no time wasted in selection process today. Here it is. I think, thy would make a good band or so. Write a mail to get your picture and thank you for your names, thrown at me while running for the bus.
