Räbeliechtliumzug - non translatable (turnip laterna procession). Pupils till secound class hollow out a turnip and carve ornaments into its skin. Then they stick a candle into it and the lid is held open with toothpics (see how they look like). They walk and sing after nightfall and get tea and a special bun at the end.
A nice possibility to make some pictures and this is our last Räbelichtliumzug - our kids are growing fast.
